Deborah Bedford

My name is Deborah Bedford. I have spend the past 25 years in the pursuit of academic research and writing. I completed my Higher School Certificate at the age of 42. The following year I entered Macquarie University in Sydney as a mature student. I majored in Early Christian and Jewish studies, graduating with a bachelor of arts in 2004.

In 2006, I began a Master of Arts degree at Sydney University, graduating in 2011. As part of the Masters Degree I completed my Dissertation on the early Orientalist’s of Calcutta during the 18th and 19th centuries and the translation of Bhagwadgita.

Along with my academic interests, I have been fortunate to travel extensively within India for the past decade. This deepened my existing passion for Indian religion, history and its people. During these journeys I have formed an extensive network of friends and business associates.

I believe with my academic background along with practical experience and an extensive social network, both in India and internationally, I can provide a solid contribution to the future of Udayan.
